Everyone alive?!

Hi all, everyone alive?!

Ok, I don't know about you all, but I need books to read to help keep me from smoking at work (yes, I'm working on that again). SO.... if nothing else, I think we need to keep the bookclub going online if we can't meet (though I'm sure I could meet).

So, to try this, I'm going to post a poll within the next few days that we can vote on to determine which book to read next. I'll give everyone a week to vote, and if nobody does, I'm just going to pick (beware). So, if you have one you want to read, let me know now and I'll put them on the poll.

February

Deb asked if we were meeting in Feb... anybody? I missed the meeting, so don't know what was discussed. I'm about half-way through the book, and if I don't get distracted with housework, could finish it fairly quickly (and yes Kat, it's good :)). Any thoughts and when and where? My vote for where would be the Olympian (just off of 2100 S & 700 E), but am game for whatever.

Ok, so December was way to busy for me to get any reading done, so I haven't even started the book. Not to mention that I have to work Saturday morning, and then have the family in town. So needless to say, I'm going to need an extension... how about everyone else?

New book!

Our next book is Interred with their Bones by Jennifer Lee Carrell. We'll meet again on January 10th, 9:30 a.m. FYI, the place we were going to go, au natural in Sugarhouse, isn't open for breakfast, so we either need to change the time, ormeet elswhere... Let me know what you think.

No new book

Just for those of you who missed this weeks meeting, we're still reading the same book for this month. However, per Hill, heads will roll if it's not done by our next meeting! ;)

Next meeting will be 12/06/08 at 9:30 AM at Billiards (I'll get the address later). And thanks for the Birthday wishes, everyone! :D

The grapevine...

So, word on the street is that several of us aren't quite done reading, yet. So I'm guessing we want to extend this book through to next month? We're still planning on meeting this Saturday, either way (last I heard), so I'm sure we'll have a better idea by then. And Kat, why on earth should Butcher do more research on naming his characters...?!

Reading

So I have the book in hard back somewhere in the depths of my garage.  You would think that I would be able to find it.  Well no.... so now we only have two weeks left and finally Ben has the book ($8 dollars later) we'll see if he actually finishes it.   I was actually thinking of re reading the book because I have kind of forgotten parts.  Anyway here is my update.  We really need to get everyone else to sign up!

Chapter 2

Intrigue, suspense, betrayal, and escape! All within the first 30 pages! How can you NOT love this book?! ;) Hope you all are enjoying it so far!

FYI; I've updated the photo on the site, so hopefully that will work until we get a better group picture (thanks for the suggestion, Deb). Also, I've added the list of books that we came up with on our first meeting. If any of you have any suggestions, please either post a comment on here or email me (ms.fitz.slc@gmail.com) and I'll add it to the list. Also, I think we should vote from the list for our next read (either by email/comment or when we meet again). Let me know your thoughts!
